The mission of Deltares is to develop and make available advanced knowledge on water, soil, subsurface and delta systems to enable people and nature to live and develop in delta areas. Deltares carries out research in the fields of water safety, marine hydrodynamics, hydrology and water management, aquatic and terrestrial ecosystems, hydro-construction and soil systems in river basins and delta systems. Deltares is a not-for-profit foundation with close ties to the public and private institutes and organizations in the field of water in the Netherlands.



PusAir mission is to support the development and management of the water resources in Indonesia. The institute carries out research, develops applied technologies and formulates standards in the field of water resources. Science and technology services cover the areas of hydrology and water management, water environment, hydraulic structures and geotechnics, rivers, swamps, coast and irrigation. PusAir (full name Pusat Litbang Sumber Daya Air) is a Directorate under DG Research and Development of the Ministry of Public Works.

Meteorological, Climatological and Geophysics of the Republic of Indonesia (BMKG) is the non-ministerial governmental institution that carry out government duties in the filed of meteorology, climatology and geophysics in accordance with the law and regulation in the Republic of Indonesia.. It has a responsibility for collecting, analysing, and making available to the public, weather, climate, air quality, seismology and other geophysics information in support of national safety and development. The mission of BIG (Badan Informasi Geospasial – before known as Bakosurtanal) is to make available reliable and integrated geospatial information for Indonesia. They do this by strengthening the institutional coordination in Indonesia of geospatial information, making the resulting information available for users and carrying out research activities to develop the geospatial information.



The mission of ITC is to provide training and capacity building in the field of spatial information science and earth observation with Water Resources Management and Sustainable Agriculture as two of the main application domains. ITC used to be an independent institute for International Education but has recently become a faculty of the University of Twente.



BPPT (Badan Pengkajian dan Penerapan Teknologi) is the Indonesian Agency for Assessment and Application of Technology. The task of the government research agency is to carry out government duties in the field of assessment and application of technology.



LAPAN aims to support national development in Indonesia by providing data and information, education, and consulting. Those efforts help increase the quality of agriculture, forestry, fishery, city planning, and natural environment. The Deputy for Remote Sensing Affairs is responsible for the formulation of policy, developing remote sensing applications and building the national remote sensing databank. It also conducts technical cooperation and promotes remote sensing issues. LAPAN is responsible for providing satellite data and data products data to 31 Indonesian institutions, including the Ministry of Agriculture.
